SOLD SOLD SOLD 1973 Gibson 42' Houseboat Fixer Upper - Negotiable For Cash or

SOLD SOLD SOLD Cash $12,000.00BWF02011310OFF

Long Description:

SOLD SOLD SOLD If your wanting a pristine looking houseboat this is not for you, consider the $36k-40+k ones that are for sale on other lakes or be prepared to spend a few grand on renovating this one however, this houseboat is completely functional aside from the motor and generator maintenance and repair. So far we have found 1 motor that is turning over and I'll be adding to this sale price to reflect the cost, thanks.

Early 70's Gibson houseboat 42 foot is currently floating on lake Travis in a covered slip and ready for offers. It needs work to run again with (2) Mercruisers 225HP ready for repair with steering and throttle working correctly. Or, if your only looking to live, party or rent the rooms out, then she is ready to go. I have a mechanic and home construction pro right here who will give you a free estimate. Here are some of the highlights of this floating antique gem. Price negotiable if we keep items we specify below...

Has 3 decks outside to party or use for anything you desire, walk around the whole boat and a nice covered area with a built in bench and storage, swim platform and ladder on the rear. Engine compartment houses the 2 Mercruisers 225HP and a heavy duty generator which will need maintenance to work again. Has solar panels but willing to keep if you don't want them.

Inside is like an apartment (please excuse the mess, dad is disabled and staying on it until it's sold). Has an upper captains deck with captains chair, L benches with storage, Eagle fish and depth finder, an ac/dc tv and rails like a balcony. Also you can access the lower basement from here and it's part of the entrance with sliding glass door. Rooftop A/C to cool captains area and kitchen/dinning area.

On your way downstairs is a Sony stereo and disc player, another access to the basement, dinning room with a table accompanied by bench seat and storage. The kitchen is across from that with an electric 3 burner oven, microwave, double sink, cabinets, fridge with small freezer compartment, pantry and washer/dryer combo (we can keep that if you don't want it).

Bathroom has full shower and marine head with macerator. Mirror, sink and medium vanity with compartments.

Finally, the bedroom has a partition door, large dresser, closets and a big bed with thru-the-wall A/C and emergency exit or climb-through access to the lower deck over the engine compartment.

It's an antique and could use some cosmetic work but otherwise functions as a floating cabin or apartment. I do have a personal mechanic and remodeling pro who will be very glad to repair or do honest and guaranteed work if you desire (he can do just about everything and he does it properly and for a fair price).

Inspection has been done by a professional and the estimate of repairs is under $3k for some cosmetic and engine work with parts.
